Orchard Garden
Orchard Garden
Grow your own apples
Orchard gardens not only can provide you with loads of fresh, delicious fruit, they also look lovely, throughout the seasons, especially in spring when the trees are full of blossom, and early autumn when the trees are laden with fruit.
Fruit trees all come grafted onto rootstock, this means you can get a certain type of apple, eg. a Falstaff, that can grow just 1 metre, 2 metres, or as a full size tree. All will produce the exact same apples. This means even a small or average garden can have a mini orchard, made up of various fruit trees on dwarf root stock. It's amazing how much fruit you can get even from small trees. An apple tree just 2 metres / 7ft tall can grow enough apples to fill a few trays.Â
Design and creation - I can design an orchard garden then plant it.
Virtual service -
I can also just design an orchard with advice, that can then be used to plant it yourself or get someone to do the planting and I can order everything you will need to complete the project.
If you are interested, don't think it can only be done in summer, and wait until then. Autumn/winter is a traditional time for tree planting, so the orchardsn can be created throughout the year.
